Level 101


What I did:

  • Implemented the boulder falling cutscene
  • Created a system for placing waterfall and river effects used throughout the game.
  • Added burrowing teleport ability to brink creature
  • Implemented the crystal pick-up at the far end of the level
Level 201



What I did:

  • Implemented conveyor belts and pneumatic lifts which animate programmatically and have motion blur effects
  • Implemented rope physics which used time-corrected Verlet integration which were used on the bridges and the crane
  • Implemented system for creating the several cutscenes of the boss seen throughout the level
  • Implemented system for building that get destroyed over time
  • Created electric bolt effects and gameplay featured in the power plant section
  • Implemented the electric eel enemy
  • Enhanced the eco ape enemy
Level 205


What I did:

  • Enhanced the dark eco spout effects
  • Enhanced the Stygian Commando enemy
  • Added smoke effects to the various vents througout the level
Level 210


What I did:

  • Implemented the flying ship enemies
  • Implemented a new custom-made Stygian Commando enemy
  • Implemented a new custom-made system for showing various level of damage to parts of the Galleon deck
  • Implemented the turrets and panels on the sides of the Behemoth ship
  • Implemented the small machine-gun and large cannon-ball turrets Jak can use on the deck including the special HUD that shows up
  • Implemented a system for spawning waves of enemies and activing different sections of turrets on the Behemoth ship
  • Implemented a custom system for shooting the panels on the Behemoth, as it was too large to work with the game's built-in collision system
  • Implemented system for "Wind-Wigglers" which allowed you to place 3D models that blow in the wind

  • Enhanced the spinning tornado by giving it a realistic tornado motion and creating a new texture
